At last, it has come!

After days of ploughing...
after weeks of waiting...
after months of perservering...
after years of hoping...

It has come..............

C Zone breakthrough 200 - on a NORMAL weekend services.
It is easy to hit 200 on big day events like Christmas, Easter, Red Rain, FOP, etc...

But to do it normally is extraordinary...
We did it, with God.

Trully, it is so easy!!!

1 lesson we all can learn is TEAMWORK.
We pray all that we can... Yes, let's not deny that...
We work hard... definitely inspiring...

But 1 thing that we are really good at is we work as a team.
Roy would be there, Nicholas is around, Me and Christopher would help think of things for the zone to take notice and carry out...

This goes on every week and things are tight. We carry out Charleston's instructions, and carry it out...

Just do it - NikeFaith without works is dead - James
Impossible is nothing - Adidas
Nothing is impossible - Jesus

September is going to be a super exciting week!! Don't miss it. But more than that.

BE PART OF IT!!!

I feel so honored to be part of this team, and this reveival!! see you around.

gratefulness

A picture is worth a thousand words.
A video is worth millions of words.

Let me preach gratefulness.
If even animals can do it, humans (with all their intellectual, and emotions) should do it even more.

Leadership II

Leadership
Take leadership over your will.
God just gave me revelation about this.

The thing is that, if you know if something is good, you will want to do it.
But sometimes circumstances do not support it, and in fact prevents it.

So in such situations, what do you do?

You got to have a strong will power to stand firm in what you believe.
Good things do not come free, you got to achieve it.
It is a lot of commitment and adrenaline pump.

A leader is someone who is strong-willed but yet submissive under God's rule - obedient.

QUOTES

To God, a heart of flame.
To people, a heart of love.
To myself, a heart of steel.
- St. Augustine

Creativity and problem solving skills only begin when you refuse to accept 'no' as an answer.
- extracted from Pastor How

To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than be alive and not breathing.
- extracted from Pastor Lia

Being weak-willed is like being handicap mentally. You can't control it.
- Wei Jie

Bad news are like smelly tofu (Chou Dou Fu). It smells bad on the outside, but taste great inside the mouth.
Bad news look bad definitely, but if you open your heart and let it come in in revelation and learning, it turns good.
- Wei Jie

Just a little bit more, little bit longer, little bit farther.

Prelude

Woah... My brain is expanding... vastly... exceeding...abundantly...above... all that I could ever think or ask for...

I have many thoughts, quotes, phrases, points, lists, lines, mandates, revelations...
They are hovering above the surface of my mind.

I am just waiting to plant them into the ground and start watering my spiritual seeds so they grow into trees multiplying fruits...

Stay-tune.

GOD help!!!

Sometimes, i really hope that God can just control us.

the only concern i have is that I am controlled for the good cost. That, i wouldn't mind.
Haven't you realise that it doesn't pay to do bad, or to reap bad.
But it pays and requires effort to do good or to reap good.

How i hope that God could just control me and keep doing the mundane, and the routine.
Because that is what it takes to reap good... Hardship is what it taste like...

Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

GAMBATTE!!! Study hard... lol...

pray, pray....it shall be done!

muahaha - Joel's quote
wahahaha - ai lin's quote
haha - weijie's quote
hallelujah - angel's quote

I AM MEDITATING on things that are NOBLE!!! i am disciplineD!!!

Leadership

A mighty general just conquered a city and was travelling towards another city when he saw an old man.

General: Who are you?
Old Man: I am a king?
General: You are a king? Ha-ha. I just conquered the outskirts of south-west china. How about you? Where is your kingdom?
Old Man: I am a King over myself.

Greater is he who rules over his own house than he who rules over kingdoms but not over himself.

The worst thing that could ever happen is that a "seemingly" great leader is found to have bad integrity character, lust, womanizing attitude, pride, bitterness, promiscuous behaviour. oh man... save your breadth. That is going to be so bad. It is so dangerous, especially if you are his followers. Thank God for Pst How and Pst Lia... They never make me feel insecure.

From them, I learn that leadership is inspiring and hence, leading people to a destination, or progress in life. Before you begin to lead others, you have to lead yourself first.
Leadership must always be inspired, be a role-model, be an example.
Leadership must not be forced, nor instilled.

Henceforth, before you lead others, you must be a leader over your own life.

So Pastor taught us about Self-leadership.
Specifically leading the 3 part being of a human - spirit, soul and flesh.

In life, you can go to many teachings, seminars, etc, but there are some that you just remember even without taking down notes. You see the importance of it and you just carry it with you all your life.
You talk about it.
You live it through.
You breathe it in.
You let it out.
You influence others.

Self-leadership is about it...
Discipline is what you'll need. Lead yourself. see a change.

photoseum

Decided to clear my HP space and upload all my photos on blog.. ahaha. here goes!!! Photo gallery for the day...
This is a tree trunk broken off from the main trunk. I wouldn't regard it as a branch because it is too thick compared to 1.

This is taken at fullerton hotel... so pretty... The malay word for pretty is chanteh.

A selfish man sleeping in the MRT train. Some uncle went to actually poke his shoulder and wake him up but he didn't move. Hmmm. Technically, i doubt he can sleep peacefully because any slight movement, he would have roll off to the ground. This is a cat in a drain. I was on the way home from market and i saw this teenage girl taking photo of the drain. I thought she was doing some school science project but as i walked pass, i saw something move beneath. then i realised it was the cat. So i behave likewise... =) and here is the photo i took. i believe she has the same 1 as me...This is a stall toppled over at orchard shaw plaza. I guessed it was because of the rain and wind as it was raining that morning. The goods were crushed underneath. Interesting view...
More pohotos. This is Jin Yuan. We celebrated his birthday 2 weeks ago. He is 20 already. In MI, taking his A levels in 2 months time. He is really a joy to lead... He doesn't give trouble at all. Love to serve, would help at times of need, without any complain. Would remember times where he would help me take my things when i forgot to take them after service. he would just carry them for me until i was looking for it.
This is a table of refreshments - 1 of the many that we prepared for post-powerhouse activity. We decorate it nicely for easy distribution... Our youth are just so servant-hearted.. this is a shoe that i tried... it looks like the one pastor and charleston has... argh... i am trying to save up for this. semi-formal shoe... =) 4d-ing it...

Another example of the shoe... on the rack.. =)

POWER- house

We just finished the last day of the first week of POWERHOUSE. The word described it exceptionally well.

Our house really feels much more powerful because of all the prayer and worship we've had for the past 5 days. Seriously speaking, it feels so easy to wake up early and pray.

this is what i've been doing daily:
Days that I stayed overnight: Sunday - monday; monday-tuesday; wednesday - thursday;
Typically, i would arrive in church or WAKE up in church at 6am - 6.15am and help prepare the place.
Besides the sound console, media or WT side, Usher and the Cafe are the busy ones.
The ushering in of people during the first 30minutes were a challenge - but now it is not, we have grown to be able to handle the crowd of 800 avg.
The giving out of refreshments were a struggle at first as well, but again, HOGC proves ourselves to have grown and able to handle the massive crowd, with SMILE, with DIGNITY, and JOY to serve. Faithfulness with Great Attitude till the End.

During the 1 hour, the congregation were given the prayer list by the Ushers to pray individually or even small groups for around 40-45minutes IF you reach at 7am. I am so amazed that I saw a woman who arrived at 6.35am and started praying...

Usually 15 minutes before the 8am, Ps. Tan would address the crowd to pray in tongues together, then flowing with the Spirit, we would worship, and pray, then worship, and pray. Till 8am or slightly extra-time. I mean, the people can pray! It may not been deafening, but it is overwhelming. You can feel the buzz and engine build-up when the whole crowd starts honoring God in the Heavenly language.
It gives me a sense of SUCCESS and i can meditate on this scene.
It will surely COME to PASS.

After 8am, the people who are rushing for time will be allowed to go off. We have a queue to take the lift and also have a queue for taking the stairs. There will be a "GO" and "HALT" moment at the lobby lest everyone gets stuffed by heat and stench in the walkway.
HOGC: Forever people-centered!

At that instant, food will be distributed very quickly at lightning speed of 5 heads per second (avg). there will be another refreshment corner at level 1 as well for people who were in a rush and didn't manage to receive 1 at level 12. thoughtfulness again... =)

Walkie-talkies will be ringing all the time especially during the time. You hear "lifts clear", "walkway full", "another group coming". "Food running out", "Pastor [so and so] heading towards lfit". busy, and sharpness miraculously merge together to result in excellence.
This is MY church!

Confident people will be clearing path for the men of God and escorting them to their exits. That's honoring people. =)
The Heart of God.

People would have cleared, curtains would be drawn, bright morning light would shine in, and then the operation people would gather. De-brief is the time for discipleships - Live, LEARN, Lead. Never lose this if you are still alive. SO - LIVE. We learn how to do things at the higher level, we learn about our mistakes, we learn to observe, learn to lead. It's never ending, and it's never satisfying. We keep wanting to learn - more and more!
Learning is a lifetime.

Life changing discipleship from Pastors:
Leaders mentality, Servant heart - I believe this is the heart of God. He came down to lead people towards their destiny and fullness in the Spirit. But at the same time, He has a heart serve people. WOW! Reeeeevelationnnnnnn.

USUALLY, after this would be breakfast and sleep. I do not know how this link up but it does during this 1 week. We would just eat and just fall dead on the floor only to wake up at 12 plus to work again, waiting for the next POWER to fall on us.

Welcome to Power house. You'd never want to miss it again.
Home sweet home

Personal encounter with God:
Nowadays, after attnending Powerhouse for 5 days in a row already, I pray with such a faith in my heart. Usually man would find difficulty engaging in because they are not connected with God - their frequency is not in tune with the Holy Spirit.
But today was totally FLOW.

I could just pray for Pastors, breakthrough in my CG, in the people's lives so naturally and led by the Spirit. I did not stutter, not waver, but I just conquer - new ground in the 4th dimension.
TRY IT - you will know it is God.
He lives in this HOUSE.

whatever that comes to mind whater,

just finished Powerhouse 3rd day. seeing so many people just coming early at 7am, either serving or praying. It just gives your spirit a heavenly download of assurance.

You know that whatever you pray will surely earn an answer from God.

Had a meeting with pastors on sunday night and monday morning. It just dawned upon me,countless times before already, but it helps to keep you convicted in what you believe.

For the promise and potential are fickle.

Things are always so unpredictable.
1 min - you can have this strong driving force to do something.
2nd min - you decided to change just because someone comes along.
3rd min - you change back because you got pressure from parents, society, friends, teachers, tom, dick and harry.
4th min - you got reminded of your conviction and dream but the only difference this time is you hear the word but do not do it... deceiving yourself.

Isn't it sad that you have your dream, but you lose it yourself...

This has been my thought recently for the past 1 month. It has been Pastors' cry for every youth... It has been my essence of life... Live it man...
just do not know why even Mediacorp has shows like "Live your dream", but yet teachers and parents are so practical. Of course we still want to make a living in life, but why can't we have do it joyfully and fulfillingly.

The righteous will not beg in the streets. God will not throw us to death. He always prepares us for Earthly responsibilities and Heavenly glory.

So keep yourself in the loop of what you believe in...Don't lose yourself to anything else.
If God called you to do His work, don't stoop down to be a king.

Meetings with Pastors were always inspiring and revelational... We are going to grow man.Pastors and the other leaders are sharing so many good news of people being so radically saved and transformed.

Joel is 1 of them... he is so amazing la!!! so loving God, loving the people in church. He bought a bible and journey file... hungry for God, comes 2 services, comes for BM, wants to share Christ with his friends. And slowly changing his character. That is the best la!
God is so proud of you la, joel!
I can really imagine God says "you are my beloved son in whom I am well pleased". That is all that we want to hear from God.

Rose Pang - She is a sweet sec 2 girl from bown sec, ziling and joel's classmate... She came HOGC last week! Awesome man... Haha... we are going to have so much fun together!!!!

Yvonne is also bubbling with fire! she rocks la...

signs and wonders are happening everyday!!!! GROWGROWGROW!

Blog!!!

Oh yeah, in case I forget to blog again... and the day keeps passing by... I mean, it is already 8 August! Can you imagine that? Just a blink ago, I was asking God for a vision for 2008.
It is so amazing how God's vision has come true for our lives, especially if you are in HOGC.
In this house, New Year resolutions really resides in your days, not just in your imaginations or wish list. Want to know a few?

Hogc 2.0 - we are DEFINITELY  very structured and processed, ready for EXPONENTIAL growth!

Luke 2:52 - You will know that for sure. FOP, Pastors, Charleston, on the pulpit, taking the lead, 1st time in our history, Europe, NewGen, Word of life, CCC, Parachute band, Pastor Troy, Pastor Josh kelsey... We are really growing in favor and in stature. Not for ourselves, but for the glory of God, the church of the living God.
Pastor Joakim loves our church;
Pastor Josh kelsey says we are different and really radical for God. The atmosphere of God was so strong and he wants to come and see us again with his team - check out his blog;
Pastor Troy Marshal said that our church is like an altar of God. This phrase is awesome! Read this: Many a times, you know that the presence was strong. There is really a visitation of God. But in HOGC, it is not just a visitation, it is a Habitation. God lives here! To say this remark, it would mean that the church has been through deep and thorough worships in the holy of holies. That is so Heart of God church. I am definitely proud to be HOGC.

What's more.

Beginning of leaderships - Leading 1 day of FOP is good enough to illustrate this point, we need no further examples. Even for many of the members in our church, have risen up to be CGLs, taking responsibility. Truly, its their beginning of leadership.

World Class church in a first world nation with a first class spiritual atmosphere - If you take some time to just ponder upon this sentence and try to relate it to HOGC. It definitely makes links. We are becoming so world class in our post production, publications, and even in strength. People and churches from across the nation and internationals have heard and known us. How much would you expect from a church of 1000.

To all HOGC members, wait till we get 10,000.
Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, the minds have not imagine, how the goodness of God is bestowed upon the land. Keep being faithful... Semper Fidelis. Look it up.. it's a cool word. Always faithful - the slogan of the US Marine Corps.
I just started reading that book. They are so amazing, and more i browsed through, the proud- er I feel about HOGC.

Our spiritual atmosphere has also gone a few notches higher after the recent move in faith and prayer. Don't lose it everyone. This is our strength. Keep at it... Even for myself, i believe we all do feel tired and humane, but never short-change your miracles... keep it happening.

Last in a blast, we have been growing! Even last week, my zone hit 41! That is a move of the Holy Spirit. All of them are just so awesome people!

C50 hit 12!!!
Christopher brought his CG from 7 to 12! To me, he is CGL of the month! Ha-ha...
Su Ling and Chin Wee really just supported him all the way and becoming a pillar in his CG, and definitely in our church. To me, they have the best supporting CGL (male) and (female) of the month. Sounds like best actor, and best supporting actor.

C9!!! HIT 17!!! That is so normal!!! Ha-ha.. what is so surprising about it... Do you know who is in C9?
Roderick Lau (2 years + in church) - the superman leader, and care-person. Nothing escapes his concern.
Elaine Lin (10 years)- The oldest member in HOGC. 1 of the 9-stones. Our church builder
Sam Wong (5 years +)- another love-powerhouse. You see him, you get filled by love.
Benny tan (8 months) - the funny and chubby guy... Wait till you know him, you will laugh!
Audrey (1 year +)- the laugh generator... you need an atmosphere for laughter, she IS THE BEST!!! I guarantee the atmosphere in your group will sure be funny... =)
Zi Ling (1 year +)- the willing and the love. She goes extra to bring her friends to know Jesus, and just does things to love people. ONLY 15! Wait till she is 17... out of secondary school. She is going to be so awesome! Don't be surprised to see her pop by your house someday to give you a gift.
Chen Xing Jie (Roughly 5 yrs) - Quiet, but if you hear carefully, he is crappy... Full of ambition to make animations to proclaim God's goodness. 1 day, Xing Jie, 1 day!!!! It shall come! Whoever laugh at your dream will ............. be blessed. Matt 5:44... wahaha.
Jason Chan (5 years +) - vision to be a businessman for God, starting a food industry... funny chap... our officer in the army now.. ha-ha... doing shift work - better than stay-in MAN!!!
Nigel J.R (roughly 2 years) - funny guy as well, always loving to serve God. never saying die... commando in the army but getting down-pes soon... pray for him! If he's free, you better catch him. If not, he will run off to serve God behind the console!
Jin Yuan (roughly 3 years) - Our smart guy, in MI year 3 taking A levels this year. Wants to be a teacher in the future. Ha-ha. sweet fellow... Just celebrated his birthday on Monday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIN YUAN!
Not forgetting about Chong Khim (7 months), Deny (2-3 years plus), Horng Yu (becoming super awesome now, coming for prayer meetings). There are many more ah... I can't finish the list - i got to move on to C5...

C5!!! 12 last week.
Xiao Hong (2 years +) - loving people as much as the distance from Heaven to Hell. So caring and sweet. No wonder she calls herself Apple... sweet.
Ai Lin (1 year) - always hungry and helpful, and teachable... She is only a 1 year christian but she has grown so much because she is so teachable... wait another 2 years... you see a CGL!
Shu Qing (7 months) - so bubbly and full of faith in God. Radical and convicted... She is small in size but BIG in stature. Don't play play. She is on-fire. Her flame can eat you up!
Rachel (7 months) - She is quietly, silently, always smiling, worshipping God, moving in unknown POWERFUL way... If you see prayer come true, you got to see who has been SECRETLY praying... no wonder the Bible says, when you pray, go to your SECRET place.
YVONNE (4 moths) - Awesome awesome lady... Can play the electone, something more magnificent than piano - it can play every kind of music instruments by pressing buttons-control. let me share with you something about her today. She bruised her back during attachment today. Guess why? It is because there was this lady who can't walk properly and was in the toilet. When she tried to get up to walk out after her business, she slipped. Yvonne being alert tried to hold her up but was not faster than time so the lady landed on her knee whereas Yvonne landed on her back. That explains it... Doesn't she behave like Jesus? Sacrificing oneself for the better of others. These are my CGs! I am so blessed!

I love you all la! Full of fun and love for God and Pastors, and people and LIFE.
Let's do life together... alongside Pastors and Charleston and Roy.

By the way, my resolution was to grow in wisdom - I am so glad that I am thinking more than what I used to be able to... I know I am when I know I can.

What are your resolutions? Are they coming true? You have 4 months left...
Time is really clicking fast... Don't waste any anymore. Come and know the truth...
