Meeting with Pastor Lia

Hey everyone,


i really want to share about today because I had a meeting with Pastor Lia!!!


Can I tell you that it is so awesome! It was, it is, and it will definitely be life-changing!!!
Our pastors and leaders are so awesome!


Although I won't tell you what we talked about during the meeting but I want to share with you how I felt! Is it okay? haha...


During the meeting, Pastor pointed out to me things she knows about me, and told me how I can change to be better and stronger!! And can I tell you that it is so amazing! Thats why they are our pastors! They know me more than I know myself. At the end of the meeting, I was thinking, "how does Pastor know so much about me". So amazing. Of course, one way is that they are concerned so they ask our leaders and find out, but on the other hand, there are some things that you never mention before, but they also know! Ha-ha, this is what i am talking about!


That's why, when you meet your leaders, it's always great! It will definitely help you.

The only option is what you decide to do with it.

Either you will take their words and run with it, do it, and manifest yourself upon it, and you will definitely grow.

Or you be:
defensive - don't agree/
offensive - want to attack back/
subjective - think they don't like you, look down on yourself.


Sometimes the meeting can be casual and fun, but the purpose is still the same.
Sometimes the meeting can be HARSH and hurtful, but the PURPOSE is still the SAME!

So, don't look at things on the outside, look at things on the inside. It's the same with choosing friends, and (NEXT TIME) your partners for life, you can look on the outside, but be more concerned about the inside (character, heart, love for God, love for people)


HAHA... Love pastors and my leaders!!! My life is really not going to be the same again! haha...

No longer I who lives

It is no longer I who lives!

The sermon starts when Pastor shared about 1 of the disciple Thomas who didn't believe that Jesus would resurrect from the dead.

And he said in John 20:25 "Unless i see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print o the nails, and put my hang into His side, I will not belive."

And Jesus came to him and showed him His hands, and asked him to put his hands in.

Verse 28: And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and and my God!"

Why did Thomas not just called GOD, but also called Him LORD!!!

The answer reveals...

1st level of knowing Jesus as a Saviour "Thank You Jesus"
2nd level of knowng Jesus as God "Asking for help"
3rd level of knowing Jesus as Lord. "No Longer I who lives"

Lord=Master
if you call somebody your master, you obey everything he/she says.
FULLY yielded to God!

What does it mean? Why must we treat God as our Lord?

Have you wonder why God is more prominent in a certain life than in others?
As in, God is more found in someone rather than the other guy...

Well, Psalm 34:18 answers you: The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and save such as have contrite spirit.

Contrite = humble, submissive.
Broken heart doesn't mean you boke up with girl friend and felt sad.
Broken heart doesn't mean you sin and felt remorseful.
Broken heart doesn't mean you are being hurt/betrayed by friends.
Broken heart doesn't mean you have bad experiences...

It means your SELF-WILL is broken. NO LONGER I
you no longer makes decision based on yourself.
You take out the "I" and get filled with Christ.

Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; It is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me; and the life which i now live in the flesh, i live by faith in the Son of God who love me and gave Himself for me.

NO LONGER I

God doesn't bless people who are holier.
Even if you have read finish the bible from cover-to-cover, doesn't mean anything...
Even if you attends church ever since young till a ripe old age doesn't mean much either...

It's the SELF-WILL. Got to be broken and allow God TO FILL IT.
When God is Lord, you don't just obey...but you obey IMMEDIATELY...

There is a saying: "When God called you to be a pastor, don't stoop down to be the king of England."

Realise stoop down to be king...

YES! King cannot compare to a Pastor.

And lastly, with all the visions that you all have, ask yourself "is it my vision, or is it God's calling for me?"

Well, just to encourage you God sees every time we do/try something. At least we are telling God "You are Lord, and I want to obey you!"

God will glorify you one day. Our Father wouldn't want to see His children in despair.


In the bible also, Jesus called a man, the greatest man of all mankind.
Matt 11:11 Of all born of woman, there is none greater than John the baptist.

Every single person is born of woman right? Who is born of man? Ha-ha...

That's why... but why?

John the baptist said this John 3:30 : He must increase, but I must decrease.

JESUS MUST INCREASE, but i must decrease.
Therefore God was allowed to work in his life, through his life, and for his life!

Hence, if you want to see how much God can bless you, and glorify you, and raise you to your fullest RIGHT potential, yield yourself to God... Allow God to touch your life and prosper it!!!

The church experience

21 July 2007 - Saturday!





It is a wonderful sermon, that partly gives us the vision for the upcoming major heart of God church life!





So basically, it started when pastor shared that "we must know the seasons of times!" - Yes, even the season in the country; what is happening to the neighbourhood, what the world is going through... etc...





So Pastor went on to share with Singapore (and the world) is moving towards BTMICE - Business Travel, Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions.

It will help with Singapore's economy.



And then something important to know that businesses in the world progresses...

And let's take coffee as an example:

1. Comodity (useful material) selling things at the cost price.
   Cofee powder + plain water = 30cents? (Coffee powder from factory)


2. Goods (selling product) To earn profit.
   60cents? (coffee poweder from departmental stall)


3. Service (Plus providing service)
   $1? (Coffee from coffee-shop)


4. EXPERIENCE!!! (the level we want to talk about)
   $5 (Coffee from STARBUCKS!!)

Singapore is trying to move into the EXPERIENCE mode. It's like no one would want to travel so far to visit Singapore for some things that their own country has, but only for - EXPERIENCE.

Its like, going star bucks compared to coffee-shop - the experience, the atmosphere, comfort, etc... =) Get what i mean. That's why the prices go up...

Well... What has it got to do with church.

As singapore wants to improve on, and is focusing on getting great experience for tourists etc, business-men from overseas...

AND CHURCH, as we want to move on the bigger place (SingPost), growing spiritually stronger, we got to grow in experience as well.

1. We have commodity (Word of God, presence?)


2. We have goods (It's given away to the people, whoever asks for it)


3. We have service (Isn't weekend service cool enogh?)


4. But well... we got to work on EXPERIENCE.

Create a place and service where experience is rare, and people love it!

If you realise, the higher level we go, the more value the prices increases...

commodity=>goods=>service=>experience. Because in business term, they want to ADD VALUE to it!!!

AND THE CHURCH wants to add value to PEOPLE's LIVES!!! God wants to do that!

That's why we got to improve in ourselves as well. That's why you see, the church has to have everything- not just spiritual growing, but even relationship counselling, studies motivating, character improving, etc... WE TALK ABOUT EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES

THE CHURCH EXPERIENCE

We got to build a church which provide GREAT experience for people...to experience GOD!!

And to be captivating is what it means to experience. If people enjoy what they experience, we say that they are captivated by it.

Ask yourself this question: When ask you where to shop for sports equipments.. Nike? Addidas?

And why? because they have captured your attention.

And ask yourself where you go to buy Handphone.. Nokia?

And why? because they have captured your attention.

So we got to be like that! When people think about a church to attend - HEART of GOD!!!

Night of enjoyment

Tuesday night!!


I went for an outing with God!!


I was thinking of the vision that is ahead of me, and running this race to serve God, serve our pastors, leaders, church and PEOPLE!


And at the moment, I am just desperate...for super-power!


I went to my room and just started praying and stomping around my room for like 30 times... and just getting into prayer-mode...


As my computer in the living room was running, and music was playing was playing, i suddenly felt a strong urge to worship God, and thus I did.


I lie on my bed and just worship God - that moment, i knew I will fall asleep, but I told God, let your presence keep me awake...and I continue worshipping and praying for 30 minutes... I walked around, lay on the bed, sat up, kneel down... and just go round and round, talking to God and asking Him what should I do now...


Gradually, I went to sleep, peacefully, and I woke up at 8am plus (remarkably early for me - breakthrough). And then... God spoke: "Start your goal, finish the bible from cover to cover in 3 months. Make it happen!" And I start reading. Within that morning 9am-10am, I did housework, cleaned myself, study the bible, replied mails, did some thinking on my administrations and feels good!!!

I had so much revelations that morning, and I have a lot more in the afternoon and night!!!


It was like as though I am on a crash-course for Bible study.


Well: 1st of all... God created the whole in 7days, I thought could there be a reason in the sequence; is there anything that human can apply that sequence into their lives?


Hmmm. Let's see:

Day 1: God created light in the world...A new light was invited into human beings? (Light of Christ entering a new christian)
Day 2: God separated Heaven and Earth...Church and the world outside, Christians must go to church?
Day 3: God separated water, seas and lands are formed...Water represent Word of God. Seas=the world with God's words in it, and Earth=the world without God's word?
Plants were grown on the earth, fruits bear...We all know that plants need water to survive and grow. So if the Earth has no water (Word of God), only christians who have the Word of God in their lives can bring them to "Earth" and give them life. God expects human to reach out and help them?
Day 4: God created a greater light (sun) and a lesser light (moon) to separate day and night...Everyone knows that people seldom sin/do bad in day-time, but often will problems, crimes happen in the dark. Why? because there is a lesser light (Glory of God), and hence people tend to do bad. Will you be like that too? Or will you withhold Christian character even through day and night?
Day 5: Animals and beasts were created...Jesus was attacked by beasts when He fasted 40 days in the wilderness. Beasts naturally would attack human. Persecutions and problems will attack the christians? Got to stay strong?
Day 6: God created human...A new birth perfected human is birthed - a strong christian.
Day 7: God rested, wants to keep it holy... Human can relax and enjoy the presence of God...

Well, this was what I got when i read the first part. It seems like a process from a baby christian all the way till he/she goes to Heaven.

Wonder if you agree with me... =)

How many of you encountered this situation before?


You don't feel the presence of God, then you feel like backsliding and leaving God...

Well... have you thought about it in another way?



Your father went oversea for a business trip and wouldn't be home. You can't feel his presence around, noone carries you to bed, noone kisses you good night, noone buys dinner home for you, are you going to leave the house and leave your father?

Hmmm...Never treat relationship so lightly...


Relationship is such a fragile term - it brekas so easily, and needs so much maintenance.

Think about it, are you still in contact with your kindergarden friends, primary school friends? If yes, was it because there has been a constant contact?

If not, was it because there was no constant contact?

Well as you can see, without constant contact, it's pretty hard to maintain a relationship, needless to have a GOOD relationship.

Therefore, never treat relationship lightly, especially good ones. There are so many relationships that people get hurt from...so don't break this relationship that meant good for you - the one with our true and living Jesus!

How to fight against forgetfulness

Today morning i woke up as usual and prepare to go out...


As how i used to be since young, i have a forgetfulness mind.


But just to side-track and let you know what i did from last night to this morning...

For more than 2 hours, i was putting on my headset and worshipping God in every single songs that i can find in the laptop, and after that i took up my guitar and worship some more!!! It feels as though my room was lit up by an invisible light...

Then i slept...

.....
.....

I opened the door, and left my house, but immediately after i locked my metal door, i felt a very weird and uneasy feeling arousing in my spirit... "Did i forget to bring anything?"

And i searched my bag's pockets (i have 2 which i use very often), and i realised i can't find my thumbdrive (commonly forgotten item). So i decided to go back to my room and searched for it but...i couldn't find it... As i look around the house, surprisingly, i found my wallet (which unknowingly forgot as well). Just at that moment, i was like "where did my thumbdrive go?" Then a voice came into my heart and said "it's still in your trousers which you wore yesterday..."

Toilet...

Bucket...
..
..
Found my trousers... grabbed my thumbdrive..

...
PRAISE GOD...

It seems as though Someone is reminding me that i have forgotten to bring something...


This is having a relationship with God!!!


Go get it!!

Reveal…

To be a friend is like:
- Being there when the person is sad
- Just there accompanying them
- Buying food when they are hungry
- Know their favorite drink…
- Know how they feel?
- Encourages one another
- Helps one another grow stronger.

A good relationship is:
- When both parties are transparent (not just open) towards one another
- Solves the small problem before it gets big because if you realize, all problems start small.
- Shares joy and problems. (and I really mean problem as well, because TRANSPARENT)

A good relationship will lead you to:
- Healthy relationships and good relationships having friends around you.
- Seldom, almost never have conflicts because all problems are prevented (rather than curing them)
- Advise and discuss with one another any situations that needs more help.
- Happily together, because joy are been shared as and when there are.
- Help one another grow because blind spots are shared and helped one another to grow!!!


I believe you seldom find this group of people around roaming the streets, but I thank God that I am staying in such a street in the world. I literally am...


To be an apostle of love – Everything in this world needs love! (Yes? =P)
